Electronic Invoicing in Australia is part of the broader global context of countries’ adherence to the introduction of e-invoices.
At the moment there is no obligation for either B2G or B2B. In the first case, however, several public bodies use electronic invoices widely using PEPPOL BIS 3.0. The stated goal is the progressive adoption of the PINT (Peppol INTernational) A-NZ standard and, with regard to transactions between companies, to ensure that companies request e-invoices from their suppliers.
It should also be noted that digital preservation is scheduled for 7 years.
