Electronic Invoicing in Sweden is part of the broader global context of countries’ adherence to the introduction of e-invoices.
As per Scandinavian tradition, the first examples of e-invoicing in Sweden are already dated, with mandatory from 2008 for central government agencies and, from 2019, for all B2G. There is no such mandate for B2B even though the use is widespread in the industry. It should be noted that storage is expected for 7 years.
All invoices must comply with the European standard EN16931 with a particular recommendation to use the PEPPOL BIS 3.0 – Svefaktura – SFTI ESAP 6 Fulltextfaktura format. However, there is no mention of a centralized platform.
IDC – Indicom Document Care, thanks to its experience with Italian e-invoices, is the expert and reliable provider for the management of Swedish electronic invoicing.
