Electronic Invoicing in Belgium is part of the broader context of the European Union countries’ adherence to the introduction of e-invoices.

For B2B,  the obligation is expected to start from 1st January 2026, both for receiving and sending, while in B2G it has been active since 2017. valid until the date of introduction of the obligation, the paths provided are Peppol-BIS or others but always compliant with the European semantic and syntactic standards EN 16931-1 and CEN/TS 16931-2. There is no obligation to have an electronic signature, while as regards digital storage in accordance with the law, it is set at 10 years.

Belgium e-invoicing: the service

Indicom supports Belgian companies in the transition to electronic invoicing, efficiently managing both incoming and outgoing invoices. By using the PEPPOL network, we ensure full regulatory compliance and a reliable and secure workflow.
Electronic invoices in UBL and CII formats are validated and transmitted to the recipient, with continuous monitoring of the results. The customer can consult all invoices and related notifications through a dedicated portal, designed to be simple, accessible and multilingual.
In addition to the transmission and management of results, Indicom also deals with the digital storage of Belgian invoices for a period of at least 7 years.
